Call me simple or romantic or a dreamer but I believed that if given a chance I could build a small cottage for free from natural and recycled materials. We juggled life and a whole lot of labor and five summers later Cedar Fern is finally complete. Our project was built from materials on hand and shaped by the location and environment. Its design is intelligent and not random. I will explain as I finally try to tell the story of a rebel who wore himself out!
